2022 Black Heart Méthode Champenoise Sparkling
The 2022 Black Heart sparkles with a golden hue. The nose offers notes of brioche, fresh pear, green apple, and lemon zest with a lift of honeysuckle. On the palate, a fine mousse and bright acidity deliver crisp flavors of orchard fruit with a mineral core and a long, clean finish. Made from estate-grown Pinot Noir with 12% Chardonnay. 13.67% ABV. A percentage of all bottle sales directly supports the ACLU of Oregon.

The 2022 Sangiovese opens with aromas of dusty cinnamon, fennel pollen, and a hint of orange rind. Bright acidity carries red fruit flavors of strawberry preserves and ripe cherry, layered with subtle notes of anise, vanilla, and honey. Fruit-forward and luscious, it finishes lively and long. 100% Sangiovese from the Kiona Vineyard in Washington, barrel aged 16 months in French oak. 14.6% ABV.
2023 Dolcetto
The 2023 Dolcetto shows vivid ruby color with aromas of dark cherry, amareno, and cedar spice accented by chocolate notes. The palate brings flavors of blueberry and lemon zest with a touch of nutmeg. Dry, finely structured tannins frame the wine, finishing with a whisper of maple and mineral freshness. A rare Oregon expression of Dolcetto, this vintage is both plush and precise. 100% Dolcetto from Jubilee Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills, barrel aged 19 months. 13% ABV. 195 cases produced.
2023 Stardust
The 2023 Stardust Tempranillo opens with a lightly dusty nose, then reveals candied cranberry and strawberry jam still on the stove top. Notes of white pepper round out the bouquet. The palate is round and balanced, showing ripe red fruit layered with subtle vanilla and a peppery finish. 100% Tempranillo sourced from Zenith Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. 13.1% ABV. 75 cases produced.

2021 Estate Lagrein
The 2021 Estate Lagrein opens with earthy and herbal aromas, accented by notes of violet and black licorice. On the palate, black cherry and rich dark fruit are supported by dark, chewy tannins, evolving into subtle layers of vanilla and caramel. The mouthfeel is smooth and generous, finishing long, grounded, and quietly powerful. 100% Estate Lagrein from the Three Wives Vineyard in Dayton, OR. Barrel aged 24 months, bottle aged 12 months before release. 11.25% ABV.

2021 Jules Pinot Noir: From our Estate Three Wives Vineyard. Cranberry and spice nose, orange-cinnamon, earthy palate, and all those classic high-toned Dundee Hills red fruits with notes of tobacco and black cherry. A creamy, smooth finish. 38% new French oak, predominantly whole cluster, 11 months in barrel.

2020 Jubilee Dolcetto: Great nose! Juicy black cherry palate, cherry wood with notes of cedar box and dusty sage minerality on the finish.
Willamette Valley Chardonnay, crisp and bright, pear and honey dew melon on the nose. Nice acid with Meyer lemon, clean minerality on the finish.

We like to kick off the First Sunday library tasting series with Barbera, because we know so many of our fans miss this wine. Unfortunately, the Rosebud Vineyard ripped out their vines, so the last vintage we made was in 2016.
2013 Rosebud Barbera: Gingerbread notes, plum acid and so smooth $74
2012: Fruitier than the 2013, with lively acid and warm spice $81
2010: Much more savory, less fruit, a delicious funky earth with tomato sauce richness
2012 Barbera Superiore: This wine receives an addition year in barrel, 36 months total. The richness is intense, with plum sauce, smooth. $91
December Library Lagrein Tasting: Always a fun tasting, because Remy was getting her Lagrein from a different vineyard up until 2013. The differences are pretty noticeable, as the estate Lagrein is planted almost exclusively in the Jory soil that the Dundee Hills is known for, and it gives the wines a high-toned red fruit character. The Ilahe vineyard is mostly Willakenzie-type sedimentary clay, and the profile is often more dark fruit notes.
2009 Lagrein: Ripe, stewed fruit, ginger bread, anise and dates. 2009 was a hot year in the Willamette $150
2010: Cigar, smoky, rich and well-integrated. Touch of orange with some Syrah like qualities, cool vintage $136
2011: Nose of Pinot Noir, floral and pretty. Smooth and deep, then bright. Earthy raspberry with a citric finish. Coldest and wettest vintage on record $113
2013: First vintage at the estate vineyard. Deep color, rich earth nose, savory and woodsy, douglas fir and raspberries. Like drinking Oregon.
2019: Current release Dark chocolate nose, wild raspberry bramble and cedar box finish. Hints of tobacco, anise and spice. $58

2020 Kiona Sangiovese: current release (very limited!) Strawberry preserves on the nose, juicy with terra cotta minerality. $48
2016 Kiona: Fragrant nose, stewed strawberry and tomato plant. Great acid, strawberry, orange and bricky terra cotta. Smooth $70
2012 Ciel du Cheval: This vineyard is across the road from Kiona vineyards in Red Mountain, but it’s really different. Floral nose, rose and hibiscus, dates or figs with dark flowers and black tea. $103
2012 Kiona: Deep color, really different, blood orange fruit, spices and fresh fennel bulb. Strawberry, tomato plant and brick $103
2012 Kiona Sangiovese Riserva: This wine is from a specific block in the Kiona vineyard, which is a sunnier, warmer spot. Fruit is process, fermented and barrel aged seperately. It receives an addition year in barrel. Allt he classic Kiona notes (strawberry, tomato savoriness, dusty brick) but full-bodied, smooth, cigar, tangy. $130
February Dolcetto Tasting
2019 Remy Wines Jubilee Dolcetto (Current release) Blood orange, fleshy black cherries with a dusty, sage finish. Great structure. Grown at Jubilee Vineyard in the Northern part of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. Barrel aged 14 months. 12.4%abv
2017 Dolcetto: Typical flavors from this vineyard, with tart cherry, coffee earthiness on the finish.
2016 Dolcetto: Still retains its blueberry notes from when we first tasted this wine. Juicy and fleshy with excellent acid.
2015 Dolcetto: Darkest of the bunch, blackberry and bramble notes with chewy tannins on the finish.
2013 Dolcetto: Chocolate sage with a touch of coffee on the finish, pale cherry notes.
Dolcetto isn’t a varietal that is particularly known for aging, and with its lighter tannic structure, we don’t have very old vintages of it. We have also found that our Jubilee Vineyard Dolcetto goes through changes relatively quickly in the bottle. It can be an almost completely different wine in just six months. We had five vintages of Dolcetto opened the First Sunday of March.
2013 Jubilee Vineyard: Lighter color, pretty, not fruity, basil and fresh herb.
2015 Jubilee Vineyard: Red currant, tannins were noticeable, tobacco
2016 Jubilee Vineyard: Mushroom nose, fresh but not fruity, very smooth mouth feel, milk chocolate
2017 Jubilee Vineyard Dusty sage nose, dark cherry, juicy and a touch of minerality on the finish
2019 Jubilee Vineyard: Blood orange, fleshy black cherries with a cinnamon spice finish. Great structure.
