Tasting Notes for Fall 2022 Wine Club

Six bottles on the porch of Remy Wines Farmhouse tasting room to showcase the wines in the 2022 Fall Wine Club. Two bottles of 2019 Remy's Red and four new releases: 2020 Kiona Sangiovese, 2020 Rosebud Nebbiolo, 2019 estate Lagrein, 2020 Gold Star "Super Tuscan."2020 Kiona Sangiovese –Strawberry preserves on the nose, juicy with terra cotta minerality. 100% Sangiovese from Kiona Vineyard in the Red Mountain AVA in eastern Washington. In barrel for 14 months.

2020 Gold Star “Super Tuscan” Our take on this iconic wine style. Aromas of autumnal leaves and forest floor, nutty grains flavors of strawberry pie, fat blueberries, almonds and marscapone. Great acid with clay-brick minerality 90% Sangiovese 5% Carmenere 5%, 5% Lagrein. Sangiovese from Wahluke Slope, Washington.

2020 Rosebud Nebbiolo — Wet stone minerality, dusty tannins, chocolate powder, juicy strawberry ebullience, orange rind, jewels and red apple skin. From Rosebud Vineyard in the Wahluke Slope AVA of Eastern Washington. Aged 14 months in barrel.

2019 Three Wives Vineyard Lagrein — Dark chocolate nose, wild raspberry bramble and cedar box finish. Hints of tobacco, anise and spice. 24 months in barrel

2021 Black Heart Sparkling (Club Prerelease only at this time) Botticelli’s Venus de Milo emerges from the sea: fresh mousse. Notes of nectarines, persimmons mineral and brine of seashells. Touch of preserved lemon, tea roses and cherries.100% Pinot Noir grapes grown at the family Estate Vineyard in the Dundee Hills of the Willamette Valley. Methode Champenoise.
